Mexican Tree of Life - Paint Your Own

This kit was inspired by the Tree of Life (Arbol de la Vida) collection at the Museum of International Folk Art in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Pictured alongside this tree are two examples of trees of life in museum's collections. The designs of the trees of life are as diverse as the artisans who make them and the villages in which they live. In general trees of life depict the creation story and feature animals, angels, and other characters. Trees of life are made and given as symbols of abundance, fertility and joy. The kit is made of plywood and unpainted and comes with assembly information. Decorate it with acrylic paint or markers.
